In Perpetuity (Cessation)

In Perpetuity (Cessation) is an expansion on my previous series, Preservation. In this body of work, I focus on similar themes of preserving the ephemeral. However, in this case, the movement of the leaves are captured in clay and encased in layers of glaze.

Thus the name, In Perpetuity refers to both the perpetual motion that the leaves are left in, and the perpetual cessation of their movements upon being fired.
